Premier CSTP Ethical Hacking Course Adds Acunetix Web Vulnerability Scanner

7Safe’s university-accredited IT Security education series will feature the Acunetix Web Vulnerability Scanner (WVS) from September 2006.

The cutting edge training course CSTP Ethical Hacking: Hands-On 2 will include practical exercises using the WVS tool in order to give students the opportunity to gain further experience with real-world commercial software.

7Safe Operations Director Dan Haagman explained, “Our consultants perform regular penetration testing and are committed to sharing their knowledge of the tools and techniques that they use with students. Web applications can easily fall prey to numerous hacking techniques unless they are tested regularly and intelligently, and this software excels in performing automated testing of web applications for common vulnerabilities including cross-site scripting and SQL injection”.

The CSTP Ethical Hacking: Hands-On 2 training course is the sequel to the CSTA Ethical Hacking: Hands-On course that introduces students to the lucrative world of professional penetration testing. The courses lead to highly sought-after qualifications when combined with distance-learning University assessments and also contribute Masters-level credits toward to the world’s first Postgraduate Certificate in Penetration Testing and Information Security.

Whilst the WVS software has been added to the stable of penetration testing tools featured in the course, 7Safe remains impartial and independent of all vendors and does not sell any third party software products.
